Charge for the Institutional Planning Council

The Institutional Planning Council (IPC), a representative body of the College composed of members from faculty, staff, and administration, is charged with considering, maintaining, and evaluating the strategic plan.  This body endorses all strategic initiatives, goals, and objectives contained in the strategic plan prior to their submission to the Board of Trustees for adoption.  In addition, the IPC serves as a source of counsel at the request of the College’s President on all issues vital to the well being of the institution.  The IPC will be asked to review and endorse the College’s proposed annual budget as reflective of the current strategic plan.

Immediate Goals for the IPC

  1. Adopt the criteria by which the College recognizes itself as the premier private college of the liberal arts and sciences in Georgia.
  2. Determine the strategic initiatives most capable of accomplishing the College’s vision.
  3. Articulate a reasonable set of goals and objectives necessary to accomplish outcomes suggested by the strategic initiatives.
  4. Routinely assess the College’s progress toward attainment of the goals and objectives established by the strategic plan.
  5. Review and endorse the College’s annual budget as reflective of the strategic plan.
