Administrative proposal

In order to better utilize the current SET (SIR II) instrument, the committee recommends that the Dean:

 

 

1.  Standardize the administration of the SIR II through division/building secretarial staff. 

a.  Divisional/building secretaries will coordinate with faculty to schedule SIR II administration

b.  Divisional/building secretaries will administer, collect and forward SIR II packets to IRP for processing.

 

2.  Call upon division and department chairs to begin assembling a pool of program and/or course-specific questions that can be drawn upon by faculty members when they so choose.  These questions can be added to the SIR II and used for specific in-house purposes.  Such a pool will maximize the SIR II instrument as well as begin to develop a base of questions which could, eventually, be part of a larger in-house instrument.
