Frederick V. Mills, Sr. PhD – Professor of History and Chair of the Department of History, Dr. Mills has been a member of the LaGrange College Faculty since 1967. Dr. Mills holds an A.B. from Houghton College, an S.T.B. from Temple University, an M. Th. From Princeton University as well as the M.A. and Ph.D. from The University of Pennsylvania. An Americanist, Dr. Mills specializes in the Constitutional, Institutional, and Political history of the United States. 

Joseph J. Cafaro, PhD – Professor of History and Director of LaGrange College’s "Humanities" program. Dr. Cafaro joined the history faculty in 1984. He holds an A.A. from Manatee Junior College, a B.A. from Florida Atlantic University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from The Florida State University. Dr. Cafaro specializes in Russian/Soviet and modern European history.

Kevin L. Shirley, PhD – Associate Professor of History. Dr. Shirley joined the faculty of LaGrange College in 1998. He holds an A.A. from Valencia Community College, and a B.A., M.A. (History), M.A. (Religion), and the Ph.D. from The Florida State University. A medievalist by training, Dr. Shirley offers courses in Ancient,  Medieval, Renaissance and Reformation European history.
